Bowmanville • Delivery and loading
Make delivery day easy to follow.
The delivery truck needs more working space than the bin's footprint. Give Bin and Gone a clear description of the approach, parking, surface and obstacles, then confirm the required clearances for the actual vehicle. This site does not publish a universal clearance figure or promise unattended delivery for every property.
- Clear the truck approach
- Confirm the placement instructions
- Keep collection access open

What should you tell us before delivery?
Mention a narrow entrance, shared driveway, sharp turn, sloping surface or anything above the approach. Give the complete delivery address and a contact number for the person who can resolve placement questions. If a gate or managed entrance is involved, arrange permission and access in advance.
Do not assume that a bin seen at a neighbour's property proves the same delivery will work at yours. Vehicle positioning, obstacles and usable loading space can differ even on the same street.
- Surface type and condition
- Gates, turns and parked vehicles
- Overhead wires, branches or structures
- A reachable contact for placement questions
What should be ready on the day?
Move vehicles and loose objects from the agreed approach before the expected arrival. Make the placement instructions clear without leaving anything in the truck's working area. Keep children, pets and bystanders away from the delivery operation, and follow the driver's directions.
Plan where the first waste will come from. A clear route between the project and the bin can reduce unnecessary handling. If awkward items need helpers or suitable equipment, arrange that separately rather than expecting the delivery driver to perform the cleanout.
What changes before pickup?
Recheck access when collection is approaching. A parked car, new material delivery or locked gate can block an approach that was clear a few days earlier. Keep the bin within its agreed fill limits and report any unapproved item before collection.
If access becomes unavailable, contact the provider promptly to discuss a revised plan. Do not attempt to drag or reposition the bin yourself. Collection changes and any related terms need to be agreed.
A couple of common questions.
Do I need to be at home?
Ask when booking. Attendance, contact availability and placement instructions should be agreed for your property. Unattended delivery is not automatically included.
Can I move the bin after delivery?
Do not attempt to move it yourself. Contact the provider if the position needs to change, especially if the loading area or collection approach is affected.
