How do you choose a practical spot?
Think about both the truck and the people loading the bin. A location close to the project may still be unsuitable if the truck cannot approach it or an entrance becomes blocked. Describe the surface, slope, nearby vehicles, gates and any overhead obstacles when discussing delivery.
Leave daily access in your plan. You may still need to park, receive building materials or move equipment while the bin is there. A placement that works on delivery day should also work on the day of collection.
What about asphalt, interlock or gravel?
Tell the provider what the surface is and whether it is new, damaged, soft or uneven. Ask what surface protection and positioning arrangements are appropriate for the particular bin and truck. Do not take a photograph or general marketing phrase as a damage-free guarantee.

What if private-property space is limited?
Speak to Clarington before planning to occupy the municipal right of way. A boulevard is not automatically part of a private driveway, and a road-occupancy application is not permission to begin. The municipality's current guidance says applications should be submitted at least ten business days before work starts.
Bin and Gone does not promise to obtain permits on your behalf. Confirm who is responsible for permissions, placement approval and any required arrangements before booking a delivery.

Can the bin block the sidewalk?
Do not plan to obstruct public access. Check the proposed location with Clarington and the rental provider, including any right-of-way requirements.
Does the bin footprint equal the required delivery space?
No. The truck needs its own approach and working area. Confirm the delivery clearances for the actual vehicle rather than using only the bin's length and width.
